Groundbreaking for Bike Trail from Collins to Cannon
A groundbreaking celebration for the northern segment of the Santiago Creek Bike Trail project was held on April 30th at the site of the "Phase 1" (Bond Avenue) element of the project. The northern trail project when completed will extend the trail from the Prospect/Collins curve to the Cannon St. bridge over Santiago Creek adding approximately 2.2 miles of Class I trail.
The groundbreaking included addresses by County Supervisor Bill Campbell, Orange Mayor Carolyn Cavecche, and OCWD Board Member Denis Bilodeau, and the usual dirt tossing contest.
